Jurassic Park Big One
There is a raptor referred to as the big one. We know that she is one of the two raptors remaining at the end of.
Let me list a few things after my theory:
- There were three adult living velociraptors during the Jurassic Park incident;
- Only one raptor nest was found;
- The only moment that we can separate male raptors from females on the franchise is during the third movie (Jurassic Park III)
The most accepted answer for the aggressiveness and behavior of the Big One was that it changed into a male velociraprtor due to it's frog DNA and we know that at least one of the three raptors changed. Last year on JP fandom lots of people were talking about Big One being the raptor that turned into male.
The problem is that the only moment that we can easily separate males from females and observe their behaviors is during the third movie and what we see is that females are the true leaders and males are the ones who chase prey.
Stretching a bit more on this raptor social structure: on JP3 we see lots of males and just one female, so maybe the five raptors that were killed by her were females (that couldn't or didn't want turn into males).
The big one is described by Muldoon as: 'They show extraordinary intelligence, even problem-solving intelligence. Especially the big one. We bred eight originally, but when she came in she took over the pride and killed all but two of the others. That one.. when she looks at you, you can see she's working things out.'. The description matches with this dominant behavior seen on JP3.
The lone nest reforces my point, since we know that raptors prefer to nest close to eachother but Grand and the children found just one.
Possible holes on this theory: different raptor versions, the supposed males and females from TLW weren't organized.
TL;DR: Female raptors were leaders just as The Big One was; Social structure of the JP version of the raptors is unknown, but I'm stretching from JP3 ones. Abaqus error: abaqus/cae kernel exited with an error..
