Assassins Creed Black Flag Mini Games
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Mini-Games Mini-Games are small gambling games that allow you to compete against an opponent for money, based on your wager. Though this may seem like a good way to get money, the games are long and the amount of money you can win is pitiful. Dec 22, 2013 Is there a way to skip this hacking mini game? I have been trying to do it for hours but I always hit the red lines and have to start over. Can I skip it or do I have to say good bye to Black Flag? It would be very exasperating, to say that least, if I wasn't able to finish this game just because of some stupid mini game. Assassin's Creed.
Kenway's Fleet is a Naval Combat minigame in Assassin's Creed 4 that requires an online connection and a Uplay code that ships with each copy of the game (though you don't need a Uplay account). Though you can play the game solo, without any help from online friends, it still requires you to connect online.
Kenway's Fleet unlocked during Sequence 4 during or after 'This Old Cove'.
Because it accesses Uplay constantly, Kenway's Fleet missions continue in real time even if you are not playing, allowing for some missions to take well over 24 real world hours to complete. Playing with other friends online in the game will speed up the missions.
Kenway's fleet allows you to use ships you capture in Naval Combat to complete missions and battle to unlock both Reales, cosmetic Upgrades for the Jackdaw, and even Buried Chests maps with Upgrade Plans.
How to Add Ships
[edit]
To add ships to Kenway's Fleet, you must board them and choose the Send to Kenway's Fleet option in Naval Combat. They cannot be leveled up. A ships statistics are determined by its type and what part of the world it was found in (see the ship levels and location section below). Note that your fleet's sails grow darker as you complete more missions, eventually becoming completely black.
You may need to purchase docks for additional ships; docks can be purchased for different gemstone values. Old ships can be salvaged for gemstones.
How to Battle and Gain Resources
[edit]
You need resources (cargo) to carry out missions, and you can gain resources by battling other ships on routes. This also reduces a route's danger level making successful missions more likely. Choose an area and then choose BATTLE. You can then choose the ships you wish to use to do battle. You will then watch the battle and, if you win, you will get the resources needed to perform missions. During battle you can also lauch fire barrels to deal extra damage to enemy ships, although you only have a finite supply (more are gained from additional battles).
Up to 3 can ships be used to battle and clear a route, with the top ship gaining a speed bonus, the middle gaining power, and the bottom gaining defense. Enemy ships don't seem to benefit from these bonuses.

Shipping routes progress in danger over time from safe (green), hazardous (yellow), dangerous (orange), to treacherous (red). The more dangerous the route, the more powerful the ships you will face in battle.
How to Complete Missions
[edit]
Unlike battles, only one ship can be sent on a mission As a result some missions will be impossible to complete without the largest ship, the Man O' War, because it is the only ship with sufficient cargo space. You can only send ships on missions that have the minimum amount of cargo/resources required by the mission. Faster ships will complete missions more quickly than slower ones.
You must first select a route, then choose a mission in that route. Available missions will be highlighted for you. If you run out of missions, then you need to complete some battles for resources/cargo. Missions can take hours to complete. When they do complete, return to Kenway's Fleet to collect your Reales and unlockables.

Tips & Tricks
[edit]
- Although Man O' Wars are the toughest ships, they are not always the best for combat against faster ships and for less hazardous routes. For example, battling one gunboat using a Schooner in the speed increase slot will almost always result in victory before the enemy makes a single attack. This saves gemstones that might have been used to repair a slower ship if employed in the same battle.
- If you don't like the ships you will face in a certain battle, back out of the battle and try again. Each time you choose to do battle the ships you face will change, meaning you can keep on backing out before starting the fight until you receive a more favorable matchup (the rewards do not change for 'easier' battles). For example, using this tactic on routes with the lowest danger level will always eventually result in facing off against one lone gunboat. Combine this with the Schooner tactic above and you will save a lot of gems on repair costs.
- While a fleet of just Man O' Wars ensures you will meet every missions' cargo requirements, you will lose the advantage of speed offered by smaller ships. With the maximum number of docks available you should always try to keep one or two Schooners for clearing out the lowest danger routes and one or two Brigs for their increased cargo and speed. The rest of the fleet should be a mix of Frigates and Man O' Wars.
- In combat, enemy ships will always target your most powerful ship first. Their attack priority goes Man O' War, Frigate, Brig, then Schooner. Use this to your advantage by placing a Man O' War in the less damage slot to draw enemy fire while faster ships in the other slots deal damage. Note, however, that your fleet's attack priority appears to be random, sometimes attacking the biggest first but not always.
- New missions are indicated by an exclamation point '!' before the mission name. While reales are collected from every mission completed, only new missions result in gains of collectibles, treasure maps, and new ship routes.
